Story:
A direct sequel to Soul Blade, SoulCalibur follows the story from the moment Siegfried defeats Cervantes de Leon and steals Soul Edge. However, the evil power of Soul Edge takes over Siegfried’s body, making him Nightmare and spreading terror and desolation throughout Western Europe. It is at this point that the SoulCalibur sword, Soul Edge’s equal and opposite, makes its appearance. This sword of the spirits, as mystical and legendary as Soul Edge, has no other purpose than to overcome the evil acts of the latter.The story takes place in 1586.
