PixelHeart is thrilled to announce that Souno’s Curse, developed by Kiro Team, will launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation starting October 30, 2025. This release is timed to celebrate the first anniversary of its successful debut on Steam, which took place on October 31, 2024.
By expanding to consoles, this hand-drawn Metroidvania adventure will reach a broader audience, inviting both new players and returning fans to experience, or rediscover its captivating world.
A journey built on community and success
In October 2021, Kiro Team launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund Souno’s Curse. The project quickly gathered strong support from backers worldwide, achieving its funding goal and laying the foundation for its development. Since 2023, PixelHeart has been working hand-in-hand with Kiro Team to bring the game to life and expand its visibility across the global gaming scene.
That collaboration has borne fruit: Souno’s Curse won first place in the Players’ Choice category at the Game Development World Championship, a recognition that underscored its artistic and gameplay excellence. This award not only validated the dedication of its creators but also proved that indie titles can compete with major productions and capture international acclaim.
